Damian Collins Owner
Damian gained a unique appreciation for "island" living while attending the University of Hawaii. A talented commercial developer and property manager, Damian used his expertise in building design and remodeling to create a space that is warm and inviting with a tropical flare. Damian believed it was important to create a space that had the latest technology, high-quality materials and classy accents, while remaining a place to gather with friends to play pool, drink beer and watch the game. He is currently branding Sunsets and other concepts for expansion in the near future.
Ken Moon General Mananger
Ken Moon, known as "Moon" to friends and those in the industry, has certainly lived up to his reputation as being one of the best "nuts and bolts" General Managers in the business. Moon originally owned Dukes in San Clemente and helped Sunsets open with only six weeks' notice. He has been an integral part, responsible for much of Sunsets overall success. He is the hard working, driving force that keeps Sunsets in a class by itself. Dedicated to maintaining the Aloha Spirit, he is always looking for new ways to provide a better experience for all our Sunset customers. Recently, Moon has opened a new venture, The Grille, a few doors down from Sunsets and provides dinners onsite as well as all the food at the bar.
Ava
Ava's smile says it all; she exudes the Aloha Spirit that makes being at Sunsets so special. Assistant General Manager and bartender extraordinaire, her signature exotic drink creations have set the bar for all of Orange County. Her "Hand Pour Mai Tais" and Pineapple Express are beyond comparison. In addition, she books the bands, creates the drink menus and oversees the staff. Sunsets would not be the same without her; she is our Rock!
Caryn Mayural Original CoFounder
A successful entrepreneur and native Hawaiian, Caryn brought her extensive business experience and understanding of "island culture" to help start Sunsets Capo Beach. Her cultural background played an integral role in the design of the decor, creation of the drink menu and establishment of the overall island atmosphere. Caryn is now pursuing a career in the culinary arts where she recently trained with Alan Wong in Hawaii. We know she will be a continued success wherever she applies herself.
